Hello and welcome to our winter newsletter.
Our appeal this year is contributions towards our room rent in order to provide more health and wellbeing courses. Can you support us? We seek regular monthly donations of £10 or more to give our charity sustainability. We have two resident practitioners and we’re nearly there, just another £300 per month will secure our premises for another 12 months.
We’ve had a very busy start to 2022 with many people waiting to join our mindfulness classes and holistic therapies. We’re also busy applying for grants many thanks to Sue and Jacqui.
Rita has been working and listening to her clients (many elderly) and their concerns of immobility and pain management, social isolation and feeling anxious of joining groups. Rita now offers a bespoke service for the over 65s in our community to include small group meeting where areas of worry can be discussed.
The Charity now offers mindful movement to the over 65s. This is an 8- week course aimed at awareness and reducing pain by using a cognitive breathing technique to ease discomfort. We have linked in with Worcestershire County Council Later life program supplying resistance bands and training to strengthen muscles. The course also addresses diet and nutrition by encouraging the benefits of adopting an alkaline diet to reduce inflammation.
Now we feel less threatened by Covid-19 and the Omicron variant we’re trying as best as we can to get back to normality. However many clients have expressed concerns of leaving their homes and socializing in large groups. To address this, we offer 4 holistic mindful classes per week, in small groups of 5, to cope with the demand.
Our funds are low and over the coming months we hope to arrange more events to raise funds for the Charity. Many thanks to Professional Medium Patricia Redmond and Holistic Therapists Wendy, Jo and Rita for offering their service for free.
The Charity’s aim is to help empower many more people in our Community with life skills to support their mind when anxiety and stress takes over. Holistic mindfulness is for life.
Just by daily practicing the 3 minutes breathing space “fires up” the neural receptors in the brain to release feel good endorphins. We have many meditations and videos on our website to support our clients. www.3chh.org.uk If you know of anyone who may benefit all are welcome, we also would like to invite people from Asian and ethnic minorities as well as LGBTIQA
The Charity now has a support group that meets once a month where people can meet for a chat and develop friendship and get to unwind with holistic meditations. It’s a roaring success and it looks like we may soon have a waiting list! It is fantastic to provide a holistic service in our community.
Our long term goal is to provide a Drop -in service Healing Sanctuary –
Healing and Helping in our Community We want clients to access meditations individually through headphones, talk to a trained therapist and receive compassionate healing to support their own self – healing.
We know from testimonials from our clients our service is successful. Mindfulness works and minds can shift a gear into ‘being from ‘doing works. Through regular meditation people can learn to be kind and compassionate to themselves. Rita believes that by teaching ‘being’ and ‘feeling’ allows her clients to be aware of being in the moment, accept change and to become responsible for their own mental health and well- being.
The Charity is planning to provide workshops on nutrition, diet, cooking, art, chanting, drumming and singing. We want to liaise with local trainers and sign -post to professional training organisations’ for interested clients.
Would you like to become an Holistic health champion and become a volunteer to help raise awareness and educate people on the benefits of the holistic mindful way of life, to empower people to be who they want to be without discrimination?
There are several areas where the Charity would benefit by having more holistic health champions and volunteers to help raise its profile and improve its financial stability.
It’s a lot of work to keep 3CHH running professionally and effectively. Our Volunteer Holistic health champions are extremely valuable and a necessity for 3CHH. There are essential tasks, planning, organising events, producing publicity materials, accounting, the list is never ending and there’s always something to be done to see how the charity can improve or add to the services needed by the community.
Maybe you have specific skills you can offer on a voluntary basis? We always appreciate support even just a few hours each week. If you have time, ideas and would like to be an holistic health champion for the Charity we would love to hear from you. Just send an email to enquiries@3CHH.org.uk with your contact details and we will be in touch.
We are grateful to many people who have provided resources such as event venues, printing and publicity, office space and equipment. There is an ongoing need for support in this way. Gifts of items for raffle prizes are also very welcome.
The core requirement of 3CHH as a charity is to raise funds as we do not receive any government funds. Donations of whatever size are very welcome. Help us to feel safe in our rented accommodation by offering a monetary gift, regularly and become a beneficiary via BACS Credit card or Debit card via the charities aid foundation www.cafonline.org.uk or direct to 3CHH (Contact enquiries @3chh.org for bank details) and holistic therapy
All donations will make a difference to someone in our community and the sustainability of the Charity– for example
- A donation of £265.00 provides an 8- week holistic mindfulness course and 3 holistic therapies for 1 Client.
- A donation of £160.00 provides an 8-week holistic mindfulness course for 1 Client.
- A donation of £10 per month could go towards the Charity’s room rent.
One of our Clients’ story
Sam {not client’s real name} is a 32years old father.
‘’Everything was good in my life until I had an industrial accident. My confidence was shattered. Couldn’t work anymore around machinery.
Depression took over and I attempted suicide. My GP recommended 3chh Holistic mindfulness. Not knowing what Holistic meant or Mindfulness I went along met Rita. She explained how sports therapy might help the scar tissue giving me flexibility and movement in my leg.
I enjoyed the mindfulness recordings especially body scan helped me to sleep the massage therapy has given me more flexibility.’’
