Hello and welcome to our spring newsletter.
The charity’s appeal this year is to secure regular contributions towards our running costs in order to provide more health and wellbeing therapies and courses for the local community. Will you please support us?
We seek regular donations to give our charity sustainability. We have two resident practitioners and we’re nearly there, just another £300 per month will secure the charity’s future for another 12 months.
If you’re a business owner and taxpayer you can claim Gift Aid. Please contact us on enquiries@3chh.org.uk and we will send you a Gift Aid form.
Many thanks to those who have already made donations.
We’ve sprung into Spring with many people enjoying our meditation classes. Unfortunately, we don’t have sufficient funds to offer holistic therapies right now but we’re busy applying for grants thanks to the efforts of Rita, Sue and Jacqui.
The Charity’s aim is to help empower many more people in our community with life skills to support their mind when anxiety and stress takes over. Holistic mindfulness is for life.
3CHH is totally inclusive and would like to invite people from Asian and ethnic minorities LGBTIQA to consider joining our courses.
We have taken away the financial barrier with a sliding scale of payment and to qualifying clients the course is free. Everyone is welcome and if you know of anyone who may benefit, please ask them to get in touch. All contact is completely confidential.
In June we’re planning a mindful movement and mindful walking event to raise funds. If you’re interested, please contact us for more details – enquiries@3chh.org.uk
Mindful movement is an excellent form of staying present in the moment and keeping your joints supple whilst also having fun. We run an 8 week course that focuses completely on awareness of your body and how it feels during movement. How movement might affect tight and restricted joints, muscles and even pain. Mindful movement is gentle allowing your mind to be aware of your body’s ability and reducing pain by using breathing techniques to ease discomfort.
For our older clients we have linked in with Worcestershire County Council Later life program who supplied resistance bands and a training program to strengthen muscles.
The course also addresses diet and nutrition by encouraging the benefits of adopting an alkaline diet to reduce inflammation.
Now we feel less threatened by Covid-19 and the Omicron variant we’re trying as best as we can to get back to normality. However, many clients have expressed concerns of leaving their homes and socializing in large groups. To address this, we offer 4 holistic mindful classes per week, in small groups.
Just by daily practicing the 3 minutes breathing space “fires up” the neural receptors in the brain to release feel good endorphins.
We have many meditations and videos on our website – www.3chh.org.uk – to support our clients as well as a regular support group where we meet for a mindful walk a coffee and a chat, or at County house for a meditation.
Our clients have told us how they look forward to meeting up, developing friendships unwind with holistic meditations. It’s a roaring success and it looks like we may soon have a waiting list! It is fantastic to provide a holistic service in our community.
Our long-term goal is to provide a Drop -in service at our Healing Sanctuary –
Healing and Helping in our Community. Our vision is that in this space clients will be able to access meditations individually through headphones, talk to a trained therapist and receive compassionate healing to support their own self – healing.
We know from testimonials from our clients that our service is successful. Mindfulness works and minds can shift a gear into ‘being’ rather than ‘doing’ It helps the mind from ruminating and creating unreal stories. It really works to balance the mind and stay aware of each moment.
We know through regular meditation people can learn to be kind and compassionate to themselves and those around them. Rita believes that by teaching people to stop and listen to their mind when it becomes irrational with love, kindness and compassion, enables awareness of acceptance and recognized by National Health [NHS]Medical practitioners and National Institute for Clinical Excellence[NICE] to become responsible for their own mental health and wellbeing empowering.
The Charity is planning to provide workshops on nutrition, diet, cooking, art, chanting, drumming and singing. We want to liaise with local trainers and sign -post to professional training for interested clients.
One of our Client’s story – Lisa {not her real name} is a 35years single mother.
‘’Everything was good in my life until my partner left when I was 7 months pregnant I don’t get on with my family, felt I had no one to help”.
My lower back and muscles ached then depression took over. My midwife suggested I saw my GP who put me on medication which made things worse. He then sent me to a social prescriber, Laura, who was kind and seemed to understand me. She recommended 3CHH to do an 8-week mindfulness course.
Not knowing what holistic meant or mindfulness I spoke to Rita. She explained holistic mindfulness and therapeutic massage. I’ve gave it a go and loved it! The small group where I made friendships who I continue to meet at the support group.
I enjoyed the mindfulness recordings especially the sounds and thoughts it helps to ground me and stay present I’m now in contact with my parents who adore there little Granddaughter. I never thought I could change or even meditate now I do 30 minutes every day staying present in the activity even if its washing up Many thanks Rita and 3CHH charity for the grant . It changed my life.
Please tell us your story. Has holistic mindfulness or therapy changed your life?
Would you like to be an Holistic Health Champion and join 3CHH as a volunteer? Help us to raise awareness and educate people on the benefits of the holistic mindful way of life and empower people to be who they want to be without discrimination?
It’s a lot of work to keep 3CHH running professionally and effectively. Our volunteer Holistic Health Champions are extremely valuable and a necessity for 3CHH to continue to serve its local community.
There are essential tasks, planning, organising events, producing publicity materials, social media, accounting, the list is never ending and there’s always something to be done to see how the charity can improve or add to the services needed by the community.
Maybe you have specific skills you can offer on a voluntary basis? We always appreciate support even just a few hours each week. If you have time, ideas, enthusiasm and would like to be a Holistic Health Champion for the Charity we would love to hear from you. Just send an email to enquiries@3chh.org.uk with your contact details and we will be in touch.
We are grateful to many people who have provided resources such as event venues, printing and publicity, office space and equipment. There is an ongoing need for support in this way.
